If I have a Ubiquiti EdgeRouter connected to a Netonix switch can I enable LACP in such a fashion that it will only use one interface, unless that interface stops passing traffic and then it will use the other one? I don't want both used at the same time.
Scenario is:
Router--->Traffic Shaper--->Switch
In the event the traffic shaper stops passing traffic I want traffic to bypass it and continue. If I can't figure out a way to do it on switching fabric, the next step is to just put a second router after the traffic shaper and run OSPF, but that seems like overkill.

Re: LAG Question
Ok.. So confirmed the Edgerouters will do a port bonding with a setting of active-backup. What would be the correct way to configure the switch to handle this setup?
