New tower we are doing in a small neighborhood. The local utility is going to bore underground to get power to our side of the road, but the Meter Pedestal is going to sit just off the road. Instead of running power 300ft up the hill ($$$$$$), the plan is to run ethernet cable in a conduit and lay it in the woods and use a WS-Mini at the bottom of the tower.
Will this work ok? 300ft run from our power source, to the WS-MINI at the base of the tower to power 3 24V ubnt radios?

Do not see why not?
Are you going to power the MINI with an airFIBER 24 POE brick?

Re: WS-Mini proposed new tower - yay or nay?
I have a MINI on the end of a 300 foot run and am using all 5 PoE ports mostly for cams that with IR and heaters runs way more watts than 3 radios would. The 50V does drop a few volts over the distance but the UAP-Pro and two UVC-Pros have no problem with it and of course the MINI supplies the 24V conversion so no voltage drop there.TheHox wrote:Will this work ok? 300ft run from our power source, to the WS-MINI at the base of the tower to power 3 24V ubnt radios?
