It works. The Luminas have a floating ground, meaning you can power them with + or - 48. Email support. Tell them you want to use your own high power PoE injector and that its 48 positive. Will this be ok? They will tell you yes.

Anyone powering SAF Integra units? We just got in some 18Ghz 2+0 config, SAF units I need to use Netonix LAG to combine the bandwidth, and hopefully power it. The power supplies they come with are a bit confusing, but I know are 48VDC. Not sure to use 48V or 48VH, but don't want to burn out the radio or anything.

Anyone is already powering SAF Integra (WS) with these?

I would assume it would use 48VH

But if you are unsure look at the label on the POE Brick, if that yields no clues then cut one end off a jumper and strip the wires and break out your trusty volt ohm meter and measure each wire and mapo it out

Thanks for quick reply Chris. I dug in and found the pin-out in the manua (see attach), looks like it uses all 4-pair for power

So from your picture it shows their polarity PIN out is:
PINS 1,2,4,5 as positive
PINS 3,6,7,8 as negative

Now compare that with our polarity pin out located in the following places:

Our PDF:
ImageThe product descriptions on our web site located under the picture of each model switch:
24V POE Option: Pins 4,5 (+) Pins 7,8 (-)
48V POE Option: Pins 4,5 (+) Pins 7,8 (-)
24VH POE Option: Pins 1,2,4,5 (+) Pins 3,6,7,8 (-)
48VH POE Option: Pins 1,2,4,5 (+) Pins 3,6,7,8 (-)

So we show our polarity PIN out as:
PINS 1,2,4,5 as positive
PINS 3,6,7,8 as negative

They show their polarity PIN out as:
PINS 1,2,4,5 as positive
PINS 3,6,7,8 as negative

Looks like a match to me to use 48VH POE option?

Lumina is a totally different model, I wanted to be sure Integra would be fine before potentially frying an $8k piece of equipment ;-)

UPDATE: Successfully powering my Integra WS with one on the desk, pulling a whomping 30W of power, but it is working!
