Change Management VLAN
I can't seem to figure out how to change the management VLAN from 1 to something else. I can add an IP to my actual management vlan, but need to be able to set the gateway as well. How i this done? Prefer CLI but if there is a way to set it from web that would work as well

Re: Change Management VLAN
Have you tried just changing the number on VLAN1?

Thanks, just did that. Looks like it worked. Odd way of going abut it but if it works I'll buy it.

That was my thought as well. I spent a fair bit of time looking through the config for it before I decided to try changing the ID.
I'd rather have a selection from the available options, but this seems to work just fine.

Well, if I wanted to change the management VLAN ID to one of the other VLANs, how would I do that? With 1.3.x or so, we got arrows to change the ordering - except for the first entry. Of course, I could swap lines by copying settings around, maybe with the help of a temporary ID which is not applied/saved finally - just to not loose track of what I'm dong. Anyway, a mistake would be more than likely which may leave the switch inaccessible or break connections across the switch.
As much as I like the UI design overall - frankly, this one detail is bad. The TS8 does it better and others simply use a select-dropdown.

Re: Change Management VLAN
The "TOP" VLAN is "always" the Default/Management VLAN.
You may change it's VLAN ID and Description but the top VLAN is always the Default/Management VLAN and it can not be deleted or moved up or down.
You can move other rules up and down so the Tab is more human readable and makes more sense, that is the only purpose of the move up/down feature so you can order the VLANs in a more human readable format that makes sense.
