We have two MINI's, one in production, the other to be shortly taken in production but used to play and test. We are very satisfied so far.
We are preparing to swap our MikroTik based network (passive 24v PoE needed) into Mimosa network product, or eCambium.
In case of Mimosa, specifications show they are 802.3at compliant and do have 48-56V passive PoE needs.
I am not completely aware of the different PoE-out functions but in looking in the MINI is has 48V on its 4 ports and 1x 48HV out port.
Are both suitable for the Mimosa needs? If yes than we have no wishes, if not then the wish is to have all ports ready for 802.3at compliant devices.
(We ordered one DC switch and if successful we probably order more of them during coming autumn...)

I am loving the ones I've got in production. I only have two suggestions that would make this a killer switch for my micro-sites:
They both revolve around voltage monitoring. Right now I can setup the switch to e-mail me if voltage drops below a certain voltage, however, I'm never notified when voltage recovers (e.g. utility power is restored, or solar kicks in when clouds clear).
1) I would like to also be able to get an email/text message when voltage goes above a set point.
Delays. Although this can probably be configured by lowering the voltage alert threshold, it might be nice -- if it isn't tons of code -- to put in the ability to delay the alert (E.g. if input voltage is below 24.1 volts for more than 5 minutes fire off e-mail).
Other than those two things the switches are rocking along.

We can start going down this road but I fear there will always be one more thing as everybody wants something different. The switch can be monitored with NMS software and then the user can set up whatever alerts they want in their NMS?
The unit does send an alert when turning off ports based on pre-set input voltage levels and I believe it also sends an alert when the voltage increases and turns the ports back on. So I guess if you are not using all the ports you could setup input voltage triggers on them?
THIS FEATURE I HOPE ERIC PUTS IN SOON:
We are planning to put in time conditions on POE ports so you can have the switch turn OFF power hungry main links late at night.

I'll second mounting options. DIN mounting vertical with ports out is critical.
Software wise, it would be great to be able to stack WS6 Minis (DIN mount as well) off of the switch and have them appear as one switch for management. This would help a lot for our remote mini-pop locations where we are dropping a lot of wired circuits into the building. Think of a small MDU complex. Everything in a smallish outdoor enclosure on the roof with lines dropped to each unit except we drop a line to each floor and add a WS6 Mini on each floor. We currently use a cisco poe powered switch for this, but if we could stack, we would switch to the mini in a heartbeat.

We actually designed a custom universal DIN rail mount that we'll be using with our Netonix switch as well as our routers, tycon battery controller, etc. - just waiting on fabrication to complete the initial run. The majority of our sites are mountain/rural with DC power and a small NEMA enclosure so the ability to stack routers/switches/etc. with DIN rails is helpful - even when the device isn't designed for them.
When we get the Netonix switch installed in one I'll try to upload a picture of it.

That was my first thought when I looked at them. "Now how can I make this look NICE in the outdoor box", I see you can mount them flat, with the provided (2) wood screws (thanks Chris), but I would like mine to stick out straight (takes up less room on the back board, plus you can see the ports easier when they are facing you).
I also, have yet to install mine. I do plan any day now, just a lot of 'unexpected' things have come up that I had to deal with. Plug I'm trying to find wire and crimp lugs that will fit my Tycon 48VDC power controller. I just want to do this right, as well as a nice and clean, professional install. The whole reason I waited for the DC versions instead of cracking open and 'jerry-rigging' wires to the board bypassing the AC transformer.
I can't wait to put these in though. I plan for ever one of my 40 tower sites!

So far we've deployed two DC-12 units (not 250).
All is fine - lovely in fact... so much nicer than the ToughSwitches...
One of the two sites have a nicely regulated 48v...
However, at the other site we do not condition the voltage and the DC-12 is right off the batteries, which does goes as high as 56v (it's that high most of the time).
It replaces a modified ToughSwitch-Pro, where we yank out the power supply and feed the board directly from the batteries.
Also, the ToughSwitches have two ports modified to power AirFibers (DC on all 4 pairs)...
We knew the routers are happy with the 56v - just was not sure about the Netonix - which also seems fine...
Are we to expect problems with this scenario? Pushing it beyond the limits?

Also - running a quick snmpwalk (2c) against model WS-12-DC (not 250), does not seem to expose the voltage to the main board...
Am I overlooking it, or it does not exist?
