Many of you have already received your DC switches and a lot more went out all last week.
We only have a few back pre-orders to fill yet which we plan to fill Monday.
We have received very little feedback on what you think of them and even fewer posts with pictures of your installs.
This feedback is crucial as we need to make plans for the next production run as it takes up to 12 weeks from start to finish of a production run.
We do have another relatively small batch hitting in about 2-3 weeks but that is not a full production run and will be limited numbers.
So please go to this post and provide some feedback which is needed to plan for future production runs.

For us, we have not yet put the switch into production.
The issue is that we have only 1, if it fails we are in big trouble.
We should have the second batch next week and then will deploy.
We are in the Republic of Panama and have frequent power outages and all of our tower sites have fairly large battery systems.
If they work as we hope, we will be changing out all of our different scenarios (MKT 750UP, Tycon POE, etc.

We have 2 that we have deployed at an RV park/MDU setup. Very happy with them. If we were going to continue using UBNT radios I would replace all toughswitches we have, but we are phasing out our UBNT gear with Cambium and LTE for our WISP.

You can power Cambium ePMP gear with Netonix switches but I believe you need to switch around two wires when you terminate the RJ45 for it to power correctly.

On some Cambium that use 10/100 Ethernet ports yes I believe you swap pair 3 and 4 but you should check.
I also believe they make an adapter pigtail that does it?

I am still eagerly awaiting my first DC Switches, expecting them in the coming week according to tracking! :) Looking forward to it! I am expecting to need quite some units more after I have tested them, especially if I decide to swap all my current DC sites with them. I am also talking to my customers about them.
Any chance you will be supplying outdoor housings similar to the one you have for the WS-6-MINI for the WS-8/12-250-DC anytime soon so I dont need to search myself? ;)

We have 5 x 12 port an 5 x 8 port at Heathrow due for delivery on Tuesday. :)
Looking forward to testing them out on our production network asap to resolve so many slow speed issues hampering us (replacing tens of TS-5 and TS-8).
We started to create our own DC UPS systems a year or so back as we suffer from a lot of long power outages and when you are delivering Internet to customers who could be 8mi away from a tower where they have power, customers expect the Internet no matter what. This had forced us to hack Toughswitch Pros or EdgeSwitches to convert them to DC, or more simply, connect a TS-5. However we know why we don't like UBNT TS!
So we're really hoping that the combination of our DC sites with the DC Netonix switches proves to be a winning formula!
Almost all our sites are 12V, so we're wondering whether the low efficiency of the DC-DC transformer will be a problem for us.
Will this add considerable more load on the batteries when we have lost mains power
Will this create more heat in the boxes to a level not acceptable in the summer warm days?
Will this decrease the life of the transformer in the switch?
We are a new Netonix customer and have so far installed 1 x WS-12-250-AC and 1 x WS-8-250-AC that has replaced 2 x TS8-Pro.
So far so good.
We have followed Chris' forum post here on our set up. viewtopic.php?f=30&t=452.
Hoping to replicate this with the DC'd sites.
Will update this ticket once they arrive and we have fitted them with before, after stats and some images hopefully.
