We are currently not selling the rack mount ears for the WS-12-250-AC or WS-12-250-DC.
At some point in the future we may offer them as an option.

People need to go into this will a little caution, if it was up to me or Dave we would test them for another month or so but we caved in to pier pressure.
Obviously we feel the hardware design is ready or we would not have committed to production but the firmware is all NEW.
But I am sure people will find a way to use them that we never thought of or intended and an will break some.
I always love i when people find a bug and I ask them why on earth did you put that value in that field and hit Save/Apply and they say they wanted to see what would happen.

Re: DC Switch ETA
I once had an employee that knowingly clicked on a virus in an email. It wiped out the computer. I asked the braniac why he did it and his reply was that he wanted to see what would happen.
I kept him at the office until 5am rebuilding the computer with me. Each time he started dozing off, I'd kick him and tell him he had to provide moral support. I bet he never did that again...he didn't last much longer.

To be honest I do not want to know, as it is people keep PMing, emailing, and even calling me asking this question.
I am NOT looking to see who got what units! NO WAY IN HELL!!!

HURRY HURRY GET THEM WHILE THEY LAST
All of the first (15) WS-12-250-DC that will ship on Monday 8/3 have been spoken for but there are still DC switches that will ship on or "before" Monday 8/17 up for grabs.
(78) WS-12-DC - Dumb DC which means you have to provide 48V DC +/-
These units will start shipping 8/3 and continue to ship as they are assembled.
(24) WS-8-250-DC
These will ship on or before Monday 8/17
(44) WS-12-250-DC
These will ship on or before Monday 8/17
Since everyone got a chance these are open for the grabbing without limits if you like.
The next production batch will not be until September more than likely, "maybe" sooner but no promises.
I am very suprised no one even noticed that we reduced MSRP on ALL of our switches?
I got tired of hearing how we are so expensive, well guess what, now we are disruptively priced.
We will continue to find ways to reduce production costs and lower prices, just think what we could do with a 4X increase in sales volume.
I am not allowing people to order more DC switches then we can ship by 8/17 so no worries it will prevent you from ordering to many!!!

Re: DC Switch ETA
Hi Chris et al,
Two questions on the WS12-250-DC.
1) Do the dimensions include the power lugs or are they measured from the back of the case to the front of the case excluding protrusions?
2) Could you send a picture of the back of the case? I'm trying to figure out how to add a DIN rail clip to it so it can be mounted vertically with the front of the switch towards the front of the enclosure.
