Who said it was not already in BETA testing? :working:

I have a site that I could TEST a DC switch at. It is at our office so it will not stay here forever (we have great AC power and backup HERE, so I use AC switches). I use a 24V battery bank here for the airmax and AFX radios and would power the switch from that.

If it goes down, I just need to get up and walk 30 feet to the server room and replace it with our old switch.

We power 1x 48 volt AirFiber, 1x airfiberX and 3x airmax radios.

We get about 20 megs of traffic through here.

The server room is not hot.

We are in the US, and I would have no problem giving you direct SSH and web port access as long as I can lock it down to your external IP address or range.

I can deploy ASAP and do not run anything terribly important through our office, the AF links can be put back on AC power pretty quick if the switch fails.

I am reachable on my cell almost any time of the day, PM me for that number if you are interested in a tester. We would LOVE to have these at our remote sites and are fired up to help you test it and get a production unit going so that you can take our money!!

The fat lady has not sang yet, this week ends Saturday night!

No Seriously It may be Monday night.

We are working with vendors to get costs down on larger production runs and then we are going to set MSRP based on the projections.

The DC power supply for the WS-12-250-DC is rock en better then we had expected.

The DC power supply is designed to be primarily used on 24V and 48V systems where it will be most efficient, however it will run on as low as 9V but only about 150 watts and the efficiency drops significantly.

If you have the switch on an off grid site that is say 24V you can have it automatically turn stuff off to stay up as input voltage drops and notify you.

Also there is thermal to contend with so if you have a SMALL non vented box it may also need to turn off least priority ports at lower input voltages to maintain a safe operating temperature because the lower the input voltage the warmer the unit gets.

All these things need to be tested and the software tweaked which is what is taking time.

There will only be like 15 WS-12-250-DC available initially - I know right - only 15 but there will be more coming in a couple weeks.

There will only be 97 WS-12-DC units initially but there will be more to follow in several weeks.

The the WS-12-DC expects you to have conditioned 48V to feed the unit.
