VLANS

Fri Jun 26, 2015 2:37 am

Just received my Netonix WS-6-MINI. I'm trying to configure it like I had configured a Ubiquiti TS-5 with VLAN tagging. I set it up as identically as I can, but it doesn't seem to work. Below is my current TS configuration, current WS configuration, and network setup diagram. On the TS, WAN is connected to port 1, while my LAN is connected to port 2. On the WS, WAN is connected to port 2, while LAN is connected to port 3. I'm just tagging the incoming WAN connection into my LAN so a couple devices can get WAN IP addresses inside my network, past a couple dish links. I'm just trying to replicate the TS setup. It doesn't seem to be doing the same thing as the TS does. Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong would be appreciated!

Other than the VLAN ID being different, I don't see anything.
The TS uses vlan134, the WS is using 200.

Yea that is what stood out to me, the VLAN ID is 200 vs 134 which of course would not work if you just wanted to drop this in place of the ToughSwitch 5 unless you configure all the other equipment to use VLAN ID 200 instead of 134.

There is that Trunk port hanging out on Port 5 which passed VLAN ID 1-4095 but that appears dead as nothing is plugged into it

Sorry about that. Forgot to mention I did change the vlan to 200 on WS, as I couldn't have downtime taking out the TS. I then switched one of my dishes to bridge VLAN200 to LAN vs VLAN134 to LAN. It didn't work.
@sirhc That port was trunked as I was experimenting with different settings but it is not in use right now.
