Performance wise, probably pretty similar.

RB2011 series use a Atheros 600MHz MIPS CPU vs dual core 880 Mhz MIPS for ERX. Performence wise, I expect Ubnt model to be at less twice more performant.

Its the same architecture and cpu series, and dual core performance isn't going to scale linearly . this isn't very much fast AND routeros isn't optimized for the hardware at all.

As far as adapting to your needs, I don't think there is an apples-to-apples here. There are things that the ER will likely never do, like MPLS for instance. Ubiquiti doesn't seem up to writing their own MPLS stack since linux lacks one and 'tik already has it. one example, could easily find a dozen more. on the flip side, debian on MIPs has a lot of flexability.

It's really annoying that the ERL don't do VRF-Lite yet. I could sell access to other providers if I just could do VRF. Just give them their own VLAN on top of my OSPF routed network....
