Tower Cabling
What have you guys been using for cabling for towers? We have had bad luck with the Toughcable Carrier and we are looking for a possible replacement. I know they said they "fixed it" as the older was really bad and we ended up replacing all of it but we still see what is known as the new version crack as well. It is better but it still seems to fail to keep water out.

Interesting, we use all toughcable and have not had any issues since the green cable

Re: Tower Cabling
You don't need the carrier grade carrier grade ToughCable unless you are on a Broadcast tower.

Re: Tower Cabling
We have used both the regular ToughCable (post initial run), and the Shireen. Haven't had trouble with either.

Re: Tower Cabling
ToughCable Pro and Shireen. Was Shireen only for quite a while after the crap with first gen toughcable, but they've both been great for a while.
I only use the TC Carrier at a single site near an AM and FM tower, and I just decided up front to do that not because the Pro/Shireen had an issue.

Re: Tower Cabling
Unless we happen to get a batch of the older cable again and we did not know it... The cable in question that we have used it on was would have been installed 2.5 years ago now. We just have gotten burned so many times it is starting to get annoying...
