I guess that required enter to commit change could be removed.
Some people report they can SSH into switch with default password after upgrade but not UI.
I'm thinking there are some cashed pages in browser? Try refreshing or clearing cache for address of switch.
I've switched to using Firefox for awhile as it easily allowed me set min TLS to 1 and its behavior is better IMO.

Thanks for the suggestions. I tried refreshing the page and also a different browser (Firefox) but I still couldn't login using the Web GUI. However, I could log in fine using SSH. Is it expected behaviour that I can type literally any password into SSH and I can still login? I thought this was odd.

I used Google to find a forum post (below) telling me how to change the password in SSH and I did this and it worked fine and I could then login to the GUI again. However, if I change the password to one which includes a bang (using either SSH or the GUI) then I can't login to the GUI after that.

As posted above open chassis
Unhook i2c cable between power supply and switch board.

Delete v1.5.17 you have
Download it from our site again
Upgrade again, power off
Hook i2c cable back up
Power up and should be fine?

We have decided to go ahead and move to v1.5.18

The password issue people are seeing will be resolved, the server was not correctly handling special characters.

As far as the issue people are reporting with DC models. This is a bit trickier, it has proven difficult to reproduce so we can't entirely rule out corruption on download, however we have added some additional checks that should help. Based on the log data provided by softcombrian we can conclude something was going wrong during the firmware upgrade to the smart power supply on DC models.

Please try using the latest v1.5.18
viewtopic.php?f=17&t=240

And let us know here: viewtopic.php?f=17&t=8117&p=38963#p38963 how it's going,

We very much want this firmware to be the standard going forward as the improvements give a lot of benefits to stability and security.

Since v1.5.18 is out, this forum will be locked. Please direct further comments to the post above.
