802.3at compatibility

I'm trying to figure out if my Wispswitch will power an AMCrest POE camera (model IP4M-1063EW-AI) which says is an 802.3at device. I checked the list of devices known not to work with Netonix gear and didn't see anything. Also learned a bit about the active vs passive POE standards. If an 802.3at device won't work directly with a Netonix switch, which is what I gather to be the case, is there an adapter that will bridge the standards gap? I know Ubiquiti makes some bullet like POE adapters but not sure if they or something else would work. My site is 100% DC powered, I want to power this camera atop the 190' tower from my WS-250-DC switch. Some have said set the Netonix to 48v and try it. I don't want to cook anything, and I don't want to even buy the camera if I can't power it.

Unless I'm mistaken, as long as there's nothing wrong with the switch or the 802.3at device, the 48V option on a Netonix switch should never damage an 802.3at device. While I can't guarantee anything, what I can say is I never hesitate to try powering an 802.3at device using the 48v option & so far I haven't fried anything.

Well setting a Netonix switch to 48v would not power the 802.3AT camera. Pulled a few watts for a few seconds then nothing. I see a bunch of bullet-style converters that convert 802.3at switch output to passive POE. I need one that goes the other way. Any ideas? I'd about puke if I had to put a Unifi switch in my rack to run one camera.

I'm not too proud to use a Ubiquiti USW-Flex switch that I power from a Netonix 48VH port. The USW-Flex switch has 802.3ah output.

That said, I've never had an issue powering an 802.3at device from a Netonix. Depending on whether it is an A or B mode device, I might have to use a 48VH port.
