Experienced a broadcast storm today, ran a packet capture which showed a packet originating from one of our customer CPE.
We use a common VLAN between half a dozen APs (these all have port isolation ticked) and the trunk port that goes to the router.
I observed the Netonix sending tons of traffic towards the router (and receiving zero back, as the link between the Netonix and the router constantly fell over with the overload of traffic) as well as the Netonix sending traffic down to all the APs.
This confused me, as I thought port isolation would limit the broadcast storm traffic to only between the offending AP and the router?
