Cambium PoE settings

Thu Aug 22, 2019 12:40 am

Good evening,

I am using WS-12-250-AC running firmware version 1.5.4,
what is the correct PoE setting for Cambium ePMP 3000 AP and Cambium ePMP 1000 2.4GHz Connectorized Radio GPS Sync?

So I would read this post: (Maybe someone did the leg work described in the post below and gave you the crib note)

Then I would read this post: (everything you need to know to figure it out on your own is here)

(sorry to post to an old thread but there isn't really an up to date answer here)

So i've stumbled upon this thread after searching as I have an ePMP 3000 which I'm looking for a managed poe switch. I've also checked out the two links, Chris and I don't see mention of the Cambium ePMP 3000 radio. In the Cambium spec sheet it says "56 V PoE (included), standard 802.3at PoE Supply, or CMM5 with 56 V and 5 pin to 7 pin cross over cable adapter"

To my understanding netonix cannot do 56V...right? So, Netonix can't power the ePMP 3000?

48V should do just fine. 802.3at is variable between 44V and 52V depending on type. ePMP 3000 max power consumption is 25W while netonix can push up to 36W (0.75A) on 48V.

edit:
I missed it first but the input voltage is specified on spec:
Input Voltage 44 V to 59 V

So, I'm pretty sure it will work just fine. I wouldn't even hesitate to turn 48V on.
