We do not plan to offer the 8 port as rack mountable at this time, if you have a rack buy a 12 port!

My towers are running out of ports using 24 port switches.

We could add the Rack mount option to the 8 port but our idea is why, it is meant for SMALL boxes at SMALL sites so keep the cost as low as possible, adding the rack option would increase the chassis cost by $4 and the long rack ears would cost extra.

If money is no option and you have space with a 19" rack then buy the WS-12-250A, WS-12-250B, WS-12-250-AC, or WS-12-250-DC.

Sure. We are toying with the idea of two switches at sites, one for back haul and one for ap's. Don't always need tons of ports.

WHY?

Or are you saying you want one backhaul on one switch and another on another? Still why as if you lose 1 half of your network is down at that tower and you have to run.

Switches do not fail that often and I would just make sure you have a spare unit at your CO and back up the switch configs weekly that way you can swap one out in the event one fails.

People say they want dual power supplies but statistically unless you overload a power supply or run it at MAX they are not as common to fail as the electronics rather from ESD, HEAT or what have you.

With all our current sensors you are able to make sure you are not pushing your power supplies.

One possibility for mounting the narrow boxes would be a DIN rail mount adapter kit option, allowing it to attach perpendicular to the rail.

Would open the door to a whole other manufacturing industry application, even outside the WISP business. It's the kind of equipment you see in the B&B Electronics catalog.

If you do decide to try a DIN rail adapter, I would like to see it before you go into mass production. There are some gotchas
