IPv6 and OSPFv3 issues

Mon May 20, 2019 11:30 pm

I have a WS-6-MINI running 1.5.0. A tagged VLAN comes from the router, into the WispSwitch, then continues being tagged into a Ubiquiti AF-5X. The other end of the AF-5X is connected directly to the other router. I am trying to run OSPF and OSPFv3 over this VLAN. I have OSPF working in ptp mode but it wasn't working in standard multicast mode, and OSPFv3 isn't happening at all. IPv6 neighbor discovery is also broken. Has anyone encountered any issues like this with Netonix switches? These are juniper routers and I've never had OSPFv3 not work on them.

If multicast enabled on the vlan ? Click on the gear next to the VLAN to enable multicast.

Multicast is enabled on every port in the "Ports" menu. When I click on the gear next to the VLAN in question, I see IPv4 not enabled with empty address and net mask, IPv6 not enabled with empty address, and IGMP Enable Querier is enabled.

You're right, the muticast option is in the ports tab. I know multicast reported to be is problematic for IPTV. Maybe a mirroring with a tcpdump to see what happen ?

Unfortunately, the switch is at the top of a tower. If only I could use tcpdump. Guess I'll take some time to lab it up on the desk.
