And here is the difference between the two. Notice the sear edge is pointed on the non numbered end. And has the point removed and is tapered on the numbered ones.

This, coupled with the cambiums radio port design, is causing the issue i believe.

I believe you are correct.

Funny thing is we had been using the numbered tang all these years and just last shipment in 6/2018 was the non numbered ones and the non numbered ones are actually cheaper, now we are talking way less than 1 penny difference but when your ordering 100K ends it does add up.

You are testing a lot of Cambium would also like to know which ends work best for other vendors like UBNT, MIMOSA, IGNITE before deciding on which plastic end to use moving forward.

So far if I understand your posts both ends work fine will all Cambium radios but the one model?

If you want me to provide pics of other brands I can... But, those are all of the Cambium units we use currently posted.

It is now my belief that with the different sear point (and slightly taller tab spacing from that reduction), and Cambiums port design on the 190 unit reducing the relief cut of the tab. The tab is NOT able to fully engage in the sear lock, causing the issue.

And yes.
So far it is only the Cambium Force 190 that we have had issues with for us. We don't use Mimosa or Ignitnet much. I do have a couple radios of theirs I could test against if you don't though....

fyi.
UBNT ends are like the non-numbered ones with the full point for the lock. At least this batch we just got in today.

I would greatly appreciate if you would test as many radios as possible as you are non bias in this and you get a free box of ends that are not numbered for each radio you test.

Running back and forth. I probably won't get to more testing today.

This person over at the Cambium forum has some numbered ones, and they work in all of his Cambium radios.. So, I'm at a loss really. maybe, each vendor changed just enough at some point. Or it's on the edge of tolerences in our batches... IDK..

Mimosa B5C. (its an older, NEW unit on the shelf as a spare) I have no idea if their newer ones are different.

Both ends attached well and held just fine.

Ignitenet ML-60-19 (I'm not sure this model is a current, or in production model at this point. Another spare of ours off the shelf)

Gen 2 Baicells. This is the CA model radio. Bad photo angle, but you can see the green stripe in the second one. Held just fine on with both ends.
