Power outage at one site, made switches reboot at other site

Mon Nov 12, 2018 4:53 am

Hi!

Yesterday I had a power outage at a site. Power came back and the site came back online again. Just after that, the Netonix switches at the other connected sites rebooted uncontrolled.

We're running OSPF+BFD on EdgeRouters. It was all the switches that form a ring. The strange part is the routers did not reboot.
Any idea what can cause the switches to reboot in such a setup ?

Are you running v1.5.0 or v1.5.1rcNEWEST

The only known thing that will cause a switch to reboot ia a packet storm from a loop (broadcast storm). This was improved in v1.5.1rcNEWEST.
