Hopefully you are paying attention to the problems in the Edgeswitch forums and are taking notes on what not todo!
Looking forward to seeing this switch in action. I could care less about the gui as long as the CLI is well thought out and documented.
Console port would be nice as well!

The CLI is OK, right now it resembles CISCO but there is room for improvement once users get it.

Cisco CLI works for me its important to not deviate from the norm to much. We all have worked with products that just wanted to be different and became a nightmare for admins working with multiple vendors.

I plan to switch to a mostly layer 2 achitecture and MSTP would be necessary.

The switch core is capable of MSTP we just have not yet implemented it in the UI/CLI, probably in a couple months.
We are releasing a new firmware today will all the firmware road map features.

I'm in an office and the switch is very quiet. The last firmware update reduced the fan noise it seems by 60%. Pretty awesome!

I know the switch core is capable. It was in reply to weight for those who need it but what not sure about what you mean by weight so I reply. Several good features coming, I really like the product and could probably begin with RSTP at first even if I would like to be able to use a other path for VoIP than the rest of the data, but even with only RSTP, It is not worst than whit a IGP that can't do policy routing.
