How are you guys handling vlan trunking on these switches? That is my main reason for not implementing more.

I'm just putting in a whole bunch of VLANs :( Waiting anxiously for the trunking feature.

Now keep in mind that the term "trunking used by UBNT" is not an industry standard.
A more accurate description for this would be "Allow All Tagged VLANs"
We will either do something similar or maybe go one step further where you can specify ranges and such.
Example field input:
"1-50,67,97,5000-4096"
or
"1-4096" would be the equivalent to what they have with their trunking check box option.
Providing an input field allowing you to specify exactly which Tags are accepted is more industry standard.

Yes... and input field would be great! Even better than trunking option. That's what I do with Cisco.

I agree, the input field would be even better than the toughswitch implementation! The toughswitch is all or nothing. Sometimes we need all but sometimes we need to only allow specific vlans or ranges of vlans.
How soon until you'll have this in the firmware?

Input range for VLANs is the way to go! I don't always want to include all VLANs.

Re: 8 Port Mini - Or Look What Fell Off a Truck!
I have two questions out of the gate
1) Temperature range ?
2) Total power consumption with no poe injected ? (including ps losses )
Let the TS dumping really intensify ...

It is basically the same board as the 12 port just less ports used so the board should be around 10 watts DC maybe, I will ask Dave.
Power supply is I think 90-95% efficient in AC to DC but as Matt complains the inrush on power up for the power supply is pretty big for a short interval until CAPs charge up
