I have a solar powered trailer with wireless and cameras, and 200AH at 24 volts of battery, with a MPPT solar controller. I have an idea for controlling a ventilation fan for the battery and equipment enclosure.
I have a small, low amperage brushless DC fan (5 watts at 24 VDC). I was planning on connecting it to an unused port on the switch, and set voltage control thresholds to where the fan would only run while charging, which should roughly coincide with cooling demand. This would also allow it to be the first load shed under low battery conditions.
Anyone see any problems with this idea?
