How many airfibers can I power UP with a 12-250-dc?

Tue Jan 23, 2018 2:58 pm

Hi,

I cirrently have a Netonx ws-12-250-dc powering ip an AF11, AF5u, 3x Rocket AC Prim and a PB400. I need to power up another Airfiber 5.

I assume it should be OK, but wanted to double check with you guys.

Thank you!
Luciano

OK so first off this model is 250W
You really do not want to push the power supply beyond 80% capacity of constant draw to prevent premature failure
So with that said 0.80 x 250W = 200W
That means constant average draw (look at 1 hour total power graph for average draw) should not exceed 200W

So looking at 1 hour power graph "average" on Status TAB:
48VH POE option - AF11 averages 8W +/-
48VH POE option - AF5u averages 50W +/- (I think as I do not have one)
24V POE option - Rocket AC Prism 10W +/-
24V POE option - PowerBeam 10W +-

Switch base line 8W

So 8W + 50W + 10W + 10W + 8W = 86W

The switch tells you what each port is using in real time and had 1 hour of stats for an average power consumption on each port and total switch use.

If you select no port on the status TAB it tells you TOTAL watts used.

Simply look at the info on the UI.

Total wattage aside, you also need to count how many VH ports you have unused out of the 4 available.
