Upgrade

Have new WS-8-150-AC that I will be installing next week. The paperwork inside said there are known bugs and to upgrade. I downloaded BIN files for 1.48RC12 and
logged into switch thru browser interface. Followed upgrade procedures. switch downloaded file and has been unpacking files for about an hour. Is this normal?
