Hello the unit does not start I pressed the reset button for 30 seconds only the fan is heard at full speed the led of fixed ignition
None of the LAN ports do not link
Any ideas how I can solve this problem
This unit apparently went into hibernation after the voltage went down by less than 9 volts from the 24 Volt bank some idea of how to solve this problem
Everything indicates that firmware is bad or I am wrong

Re: WS-12-250-DC does not start
I am guessing you will need to RMA it?
If you put it on your bench with a good power source and the GREEN power LED comes on in the front you could try a console cable and see if it is a corrupted firmware?
If you Green LED then you have to RMA it.

Before you send it in, there's something I'd like you to try -
the procedure is here: viewtopic.php?f=17&t=1073#p8073
If you have the equipment and patience, that is - Last I performed this, it was painful, confusing, and annoying, but why not save yourself shipping?

Re: WS-12-250-DC does not start
I just had this same thing happen on a WS-12-250-AC. Made a VLAN number change and the unit locked up -- stopped passing traffic. POE stayed up. Power cycled and just the green light comes on, fan runs but the unit won't boot and at no time do the port lights illuminate.
Problem now is without opening the case I can't find the reset button to try getting it back to factory defaults to see if it will at least boot up. Where is it?

Re: WS-12-250-DC does not start
Thanks! Would help my old eyes if there was a white circle around it at least, short of "reset". Anyway, that restored operation so the switch will now boot up. Question is, why did this happen, and more importantly, how to prevent it from happening again? This was in production when it occurred. If bad memory is suspected, is there a way to test it? This is a rev. F unit -- not very old.
