From what I understand, there are several different 'flavors' of port isolation out in the wild - What we here have implemented is that ports with 'isolation' checked will not talk to other ports with 'isolation' checked.

Yes it's real and it works.
Basically, any port that is isolated can't talk to any other port that is also isolated.
We use the feature extensively in our network and it works fine.

Yes it impliments it. When checked, the ports can not talk to each other.
