Link 100M-H

Hello Forum,
I'm trying to connect to a RV50 that is plugged into a Netonix switch. The auto Link has assigned 100M-H. What does this mean and is there a guide for definitions of the other abbreviations used?

I'm trying to diagnose why I can't Rx packets from the RV50. It may be asleep and unable to wake up on lan/remotely.

I would think they are pretty self explanatory as they are industry standard abbreviations but here you go:
10M-H = 10 Mbps Half Duplex
10M-F = 10 Mbps Full Duplex
100M-H = 100 Mbps Half Duplex
100M-F = 10 Mbps Full Duplex
1G = 1 Gbps Full Duplex

According to the datasheet at https://www.sierrawireless.com/products ... ways/rv50/ the device is capable of 10/100/1000

Check the cable, I haven't seen anything half duplex in ages.

Half duplex is probably a bad cable or forced duplex at only one end.

If you force 100 Mbps full duplex (or half) at one end, the equipment doesn't "listen" to the autonegotiatiation and for some equipment that also means that it doesn't "advertise" to the other end. If the other end is set to auto it will fall back to half duplex if it doesn't hear autonegotiation from the other end. Check that both ends are set to auto (both speed and duplex) unless you have some really old equipment with problems autonegotiating (then force both ends to the same setting).

If it takes more than a second for the interface to come up or the speed changes randomly, it is a bad cable (or interface).
