Must fix FM issues.... Finally running fiber up the tower. Am looking at putting a WS-8-150-DC at the top so I stay in the Netonix family but I'm not finding a good top of tower enclosure for it. Going to be feeding 3 Cambium APs. Need something that won't make the tower owner freak out due to the size...
What are people using for this? Really wish it would fit in the WS-6-mini enclosure. Love those!

Re: Outdoor tower enclosure for WS-8-150-DC
Well, no responses on what others are using so a question on the DIN option... I am looking at two possible enclosures:
http://www.l-com.com/nema-enclosures-12 ... ing-plate#
or
http://www.l-com.com/nema-enclosures-12 ... ing-rails#
I am not sure the DIN rails will work with that second one and the WS-8-150-DC. Am I correct in seeing that the DIN option for the Netonix will have it stick out straight (almost like a rack mount) and would not work in an enclosure like that?
I am thinking the vented enclosure might be best and I'll screw the switch onto the big aluminum equipment plate in the enclosure (might help with heat as well).

Yes DIN sticks out straight.
You can also screw flat to back wall of box without DIN

Is the WS-8-150-DC passive cooled or does it have a fan? Would you recommend a vented NEMA enclosure for the top of a tower or a totally sealed version?

All of our switches except WS-6-MINI have a fan to prolong the units life.
I always recommend vets, they are easy to buy and add to any box
