Power IP10 IDU through Netonix

Hi

We're moving a lot of our sites to straight DC.
On a couple of sites we are still using Ceragon IP10's.
These have an IDU that we are currently powered up with a Meanwell power adapter which runs off AC mains power.
The IDU takes -48V.

Is it safe to power the IDU with CAT5 from the Netonix?
I've made a test cable by tying off the 4 pairs (pos: 1,2,4,5 neg:3,6,7,8) and it's reading the expected 48V.
Just want to make sure I'm not missing anything obvious by doing this - anything to watch out for?

It's hard for me to say if this is ok. Out POE ground is bonded to our negative power input on our DC switches. So a lot of it depends on if anywhere in
your system, the + battery power gets tied to the chassis ground anywhere. If it does you can't use our present family of DC switches.

Hmm, ok.
I can just run it off our DC supply anyway, would have just made my life easier if I could power it off the Netonix!
Is there an adapter you can get that will make this possible?

don't have an adapter I can recommend.

We are however, coming out with a series of isolated supplies in the future, meant for telecom -48 volt sites.
