For short distance and few clients (<1-5) I think the product will be extremely versatile....
I could do a small site for a low cost.

Add a WS-6-MINI switch + PowerBeam AC for PtP and you have a really low cost small site that would make sense for few clients...

I really wanted to see an AC NanoStation. These are great mini-sectors and they are cheap. The 16-120 has a funky pattern with VERY unbalanced chains across the band and a huge drop off getting severe around 90degrees.

Yeah, it would be nice if just like the NSM5 it had a POE passthru port ... However, that gets really complicated and tricky with a GigE interface.

Exactly, NSM5 is great. I use it for "around the corner" solutions. If 2 neighbors get along and one of them has no line of sight, the NSM5 is great. I have a few places where I'm lost when upgrading to AC because of such solutions...

I have a number of these, they are noisy as hell out the back. I haven't purchased any in a while though because ubiquiti doesn't appear to have any plans on getting them dfs certified :/

They are certified now. You have to get an activation code. I have one running with the DFS channels.

I'm pretty happy with the LBEs. We have several 120° and probably 70ish cpes on them network wide. They've proved useful in the inter-room migration to AC, but sure are noisy bastards.

VERY noisy, front-2-back is unbelievably bad.

They are great when you aren't colocating many APs though. For little network spurs that need a PBE-5AC backhaul and 1-2 APs, these are great. Now that they are DFS capable, even better.

I have several in production now serving clients. They're really great for nearby clients, and few houses in an area. I made my own shielding to start with (90 degree), but labor is expensive here in Denmark (https://community.ubnt.com/t5/airMAX-St ... -p/1519434), so when I could buy cheap shields from Poland, I did that instead (http://www.cyberteam.pl/produkt/3318_os ... 5ac-16-120)

Problem is that the mounting on the sector and especially when the shield is also mounted is very bad. They will not survice a winter storm unfortunately.
It could be nice if RF armor made a better shield including a much better mounting.

The AP itself is actually very nice for serving few clients. We provide a lot of customers with 100/100 Mbps plans this way, using LBE-5AC-23 as client radio....
