4 weeks +/-

For now we recommend people power with the AF24 POE bricks or MIMOSA POE bricks.

Can I power 4 24volt radios off a Ubiquiti 48Volt supply though?

Our barrel adapter power supply is only 50V @ 65W

The AF24 POE adapter is 50V @ 60W

There is only 5 watts difference

Depends on the radios your talking about, comes down to doing the math.

If you are talking (4) airMAX radios your fine as their "average" draw is 6 watts with peaks to 12 watts +/-

So even if you assume 4 x 12w MAX = 48 watts + 4-6w MAX watts for the switch = 54w MAX

Also you can look in the UI once it is running and see your watts usage and decide.

AFAIK Chris is also coming out with a 54V high wattage PoE brick to rival the POE-54-80W that Ubiquiti has. These are great for longer cable runs where you may have voltage drop on the 48V side plus the reverse polarity diode bridge adds 1.5V drop compared to the .75V drop on the barrel connector. Obviously voltage drop is not going to be an issue on 24V kit but on a long run you could get a few low voltage alert nags depending on firmware version.
