Hi Chris,
Any plans on building shieldkits for the NanoBeam 16/19 (M5/AC) units ?
I know it's a tough one, but do you think it's possible ?

It would be costly to build. I warned UBNT about the design not lending itself to add on shield kits but was rebuffed.
I would not hold your breath, but one never knows for sure right.

Maybe you should try to get a coatings manufacturer to make an RF absorbing Plasti Dip.

I've been playing with a shield for the 16/19 units. I've had too much going on here lately to put any time into it. The lack of DFS on these units, and thus lower adoption/deployment rate of them (in the US at least), makes one hesitant to put the needed funds into the tooling required to produce them. They keep lying about the DFS for them, including blaming firmware, which is odd since international units already have DFS. If they do get DFS, and I have free time, I'll put some more effort into it.
Anyone have a dead 19 unit by chance? It'd take me a weekend to put together a low-yield tooling setup to produce a few of them per day. I've pioneered a way to make molds using binary polyurethanes -- think of it as a poured injection-mold equivalent.

Any more news on this?
Are you considering making RF armor shield kits for these anymore?
Thanks!

I would like to but right now my focus is on getting Netonix where it needs to be.

RF absorbing material is not real effective at the freq. we use, at least that is what I saw when testing this stuff before.

@Sirhc
So what to do with this:

It looks terrible, but I've found the thickets HVAC foil tape does provide some good reduction when slapped to the back of whatever unit you need. No super scientific test performed other than received noise level from a nearby radio.
