Sure that would be a neat switch but EXPENSIVE to build and sell.
People speak with their wallets.
To develop and produce that model you speak of would involve a capital investment of $500K to $1 MILLION just to get the first production model to market. Then you would be looking at switch that is $1,000.00 to $1,500.00. It would also be LARGER footprint.
Here is a hypothetical switch.

(4) SFP+ slots
(24) Copper ports (1-4) 100/1G/2.5G/5G - ports 5-24 10/100/1G
(2) Power plant slots each capable of a 600W power plant - bay size 8" x 10" (here is the BIG FOOTPRINT)
Power slots can be populated with 600W AC or DC (isolated) plant total of 1200W
Note keep in mind the number of ports that support 48VH would be based on wattage budget based on if 1 or 2 power plants populated and if one failed.
ports (1-12) 48VH
ports (1-4) 24VH
ports (1-24) 24V / 48V
Problem is how many would sell? As it is we do not sell enough WS-26 models to be very profitable.
Most common switch sold is WS-12
This is why we are working on a WS2-14-400-AC and WS2-14-500-DC

(12) Copper 10/100/1G
ports (1-6) 48VH
ports (1-2) 24VH
ports (1-12) 24V / 48V
Also has door open sensor, external temp/humidity sensor, and external control which can control things like AC or DC fans or whatever
