Hi,
Is turning off STP globally (on all ports including LAG) as simple as unchecking the Enable box at top left of STP tab. Or do we need to disable it on all switch ports also?

Yes simply uncheck the box on the top and it will globally disable STP. You do not have to uncheck individual ports.
