Switch reboots when making a dns change

I am updating dns ip addresses and when I save/apply there is no warning but the switch appears to do a soft boot. I have made the change on switches running 1.4.9 and 1.5.2 I see nothing in 1.5.3 or 1.5.4 that addresses this. Logs show nothing concerning the dns change only root port changes. It seems that I should be able to update DNS without causing a brief outage for customers. I would like to make a feature request that would allow this in the future.

I will investigate this situation. Does this happen all the time you make a DNS change or is it sporadic?
