You guys might want to look at some of the new WISP Switch models we are working on, click here to check them out. :working:

I'm excited man. That DC stuff is really going to be a big seller for us!

PS - Don't forget about me if you need some DC testing! *wink*

The DC switches have the same features as the existing WISP Switches plus do the following and more (secret):
Monitor DC voltage and current into the switch from your batteries.

Monitors the DC power supply temperature with auto and programmable thermal shutdown.

Program the switch to shut down lower priority POE ports when batteries get low and to restore them when sufficient reserves return or when it detects charging has resumed from solar or wind.

If power gets too low it can be configured to shut down all POE ports and hibernate your remote site until it detects solar or wind charging has resumed and sufficient reserves are generated.

you can chose to run your batteries all the way down to 9V to keep the tower up or have it shut down in stages to preserve your energy.

Since we designed the power supply to have its own micro processor and to communicate to the switch itself we have full control over the power supply and all relative telemetry generated by sensors built into the power supply.

Will the 12 port DC switch be able to be rack mounted?

Wow Chris, this is big. Being able to snmp the voltage (what kind of accuracy will it have?) is big for us. Right now, we're using 750UP's that aren't Gig-E, and aren't very feature rich, it'll be nice to have something solid that can power it all if need be.

I mean, accurate down to the hundredth? Not rounding to the tenth, and voltage readout changing depending on what's plugged in, etc. like the crap Tik. They read 12.7 when it goes from 12.80 to 12.79, it rounds down, so really hard to check accurate condition of a battery.

Voltage measurements are accurate to +/- 0.025 Volts max, with nominal (normal) accuracy to +/- 0.012 Volts.

Sorry, previous accuracy is for the actual switch board Voltage measurements.

The DC-DC power board (which measures battery voltage) has much better accuracy. Its accuracy is +/- 0.007 volts.

I see you added the Mini but you linked the wrong specsheet on the page.

However, I see in the description that you are doing 24VH (all 8 pins). That would be one way to take an existing 48VH to 24VH.
