OK, so that's what I thought, so not a wire pair (singular) but pairs (plural). You need at minimum two wires (a singular pair) to complete a circuit but within the context of PoE, they are bonded pairs, so four conductors really.

Learned something. Looks like I could power my Exalt G2 radios from non VH ports!
