Hi,

We got an RMA'd switch back and after a few days in production, ports started going down. There's an error in the log and on the WATTS section in status they all say ERROR. Tried powercycling it but the issue persists.

If the watts all say ERROR on the main status TAB this would normally indicate ground current damage but not always.

Ground current damage is from insufficient service ground rods that are not properly bonded to the tower ground rods and the bond becomes the Ethernet cable.

Could be something else, but would have to see the unit to know.

99% of all WISP equipment damage is from ground current, I own a WISP and we also repair other equipment such as UBNT, MIMOSA, and MikroTik and the damage we see to them is also from ground current.

Here are some good posts on grounding:

Read the posts above but the basics are as follow:
Tower ground rods must be bonded to electrical service ground rods HEAVY #2 wire.
I always add 1 or 2 “new” ground rods to older existing electrical services.
