OK guys if you want this switch then you need to speak up now.

A compact 26 port SMART DC switch
12" x 12" x 1.5"
1U Rack mountable
Wall mountable
Desktop

(2) SFP port
(24) 1G POE ports
(2) of the ports are capable of 24VH
(4 or 6) of the POE ports are special ports capable 48VH
The rest of the ports support 24V and 48V

Input voltage range 9V to 70V - 400W at an input voltage of around 18V or higher less watts below that input voltage

Yes we are also working on a 24 Port DC switch for NEGATIVE DC sites but that is a different subject.

How many people NEED more than 12 POE ports on a SMART DC switch and in a compact form like I just explained?

Weigh in now or forever hold your complaints we do not offer one.

or would a voltage range of say 9-36 volts be good enough, assuming most WISP guys are using 24 volt battery systems......

I'd like to see a SmartDC with 12-port poe, 12 unpowered ports and a pair of SFP (or SFP+ for future proofing). My use case might be unique, but i'm usually connecting several non-POE devices at my tower sites.

And minimal depth is usual. 12" is very. We need about 8"

We're looking forward to this switch, especially the 6 HV ports.

Sort of like a WS-24-400A with DC power, minus the 4 shared SFP ports, smaller size (WS-24-400A is 17" W x 14" D), and a different mix of PoE ports...

Cool, but in our case I don't have a need for it. Most of our sites that we need the larger switches are moving to rack mount cabinets and already have UPS on site so the WS-24-400A is a good solution already.

From a product standpoint how similar to the WS-24-400A would it be internally... or, put another way, would you maybe make a shrunk version of it so there could be a WS-24-400A-DC in the future yet both products would be very much similar for economies of scale?

The existing WS-24-400A is 17" x 14" x 1.5"

The WS-26-400-AC will replace the existing WS-24-400A except that it does not have the 4 shared SFP ports on 21-24 but will be will be "MUCH" smaller and "possibly: (6) 48VH ports and (2) 24VH ports.

The WS-26-400-IDC (note the "I" in the model number which stands for Isolated) will be 13" x 12" x 1.5" and will be for NEGATIVE 48V DC Telco sites.

The WS-26-500-DC at 13" x 10" x 1.5", a larger spin on our existing WS-12-250-DC, a SMART DC switch.

The WS-26-DC at around 13" x 7" x 1.5", a larger spin on the WS-12-DC, requires conditioned 48V to 53V POSITIVE DC power to feed it.

They would all support Wall Mount, Rack Mount, and Desktop applications.

So, the WS-24-400A will be going away? :Cry2: Time to stock up! In our application the 4 shared SFPs are helpful but, worst-case, I could add a switch with SFPs at locations where I need the additional ones...

It is not going away SOON but once the new 24 port is done we will stop making the older one yes
