I have this werid use case:
Can I power a WS-6-Mini via a toughswitch pro(48V) and then power a second WS-6-Mini via the first WS-6-Mini using the 48vh setting?
Thanks

Re: WS-6-Mini powered by Toughswitch
It is not advisable to power the Mini with only half the pairs. Do you plan to power anything else?
Is the 3 switch chain an attempt to extend the 100 meter limit to 400 meters?
Explain what you need to accomplish and we may have some other ideas.

Re: WS-6-Mini powered by Toughswitch
Ok thanks for the feedback.
I am trying to solve an immediate problem caused by the lack of inventory (Netonix 12 port and air fiber power supplies) at my distributor.
I have a toughswitch(TS) in place powering 3 devices with 48volt and 4 links to other device(no power)
I need more ports. Mini 1 ( about a meter away from the TS) would power a point to point bridge(24v) and mini 2 would be located about 20meters away to power some two other 24 v devices. I have only one cable run between Mini 1 and Mini 2.
Ideally I would replace the TS with a Netonix 12 port and power the Mini 2 48VH via the single cable.
Thanks

Re: WS-6-Mini powered by Toughswitch
OK, the short runs should prevent much voltage drop but you lose 1.4V on the diodes of each MINI. Time to do the math then. I think each MINI uses around 5W-6W and I don't know what your backhaul will use. The TS8-Pro with 48V out is 23W.
