Not sure if it's possible with current hardware but that would be a nice feature to have (SFP rx signal, tx output, temperature, etc). The're now lot of affordable SFP that support it.

Our switch core is capable of SFP DOM

We may add it to the firmware but I am not sure we can enable it on the WS-24-400A/B or the WS-12-250A/B but all the newer designs yes I think we can.

I would second this it is a needed feature for basic troubleshooting.

Any update on this ?

Exemple of how it would be helpfull, know if your using the good model in bidi link by knowing which SFP model is plug even if port is down, knowing the TX/RX power, so be able to better monitor link (be able to read signal via SNMP), etc.

Those may be helpful to understand DOM but that will not help read it from a Netonix. It's not like the Netonix OS is a DIY open source project.

Due to a hardware design issue we can not support DDM on existing boards. We will fix this on future board revisions but older boards will not be able to do it.

Which board revisions support ddm?

None of our existing WS-XX models can see DOM

Our new WS2-XX models will be able to see DOM

Our new WS3-XX model will be able to see DOM

WS3 ??? Can't find anything about it. We need to know more.
