I have one location that I have replaced AC switch (WS-12-250-AC) when failed, with a 48 volt supplied unit (WS-12-250-DC) , and then it failed, Replace 48 volt supply to no avail.
One ac and one dc, after leaving each off overnight, they seem to work fine.
Not using any POE ports on either,
Was stormy when each occurred, no water got to switches, no lightning to speak of,
Any clues?

Was there rain?
Is the tower grounding system bonded to the Electrical service ground?
Do you have dedicated ground runs to the radios that is shorter path to Earth Ground than the Ethernet Cables.
Here are some good posts on grounding:viewtopic.php?f=30&t=188viewtopic.php?f=30&t=1429
