Need POE powered switch that can provide 24VH and 48VH

I am in need of a switch that can do the following:

- accept POE voltage to power it
- provide 48VH power to an AirFiber 24
- provide 24VH power to a Metrolinq 60 Ghz radio (24v / 1A 15W max)

Prefer switch to be powered by another Netonix switch at the base of the tower. That POE line that powers the switch will also be carrying traffic to/from the base of the tower.

The WS-6-MINI looks perfect except I can't power two separate high amp radios. Am I asking too much from a POE powered switch? Is this a case where I need to run perhaps a fiber/copper hybrid cable up the tower and use a WS-12-DC switch? It does not look like the WS-12-DC can take POE input power, only external DC.

Yes, you are asking for too much. There is only so many watts you can feed into the MINI so only so many watts to pass on down the line.

Separate DC feed with or without (depending on length of run) fiber is one option. Two MINIs side by side is another. The Ubiquiti FiberPoE is yet another.

The WS-12-DC needs 48V+/- input and has no way to compensate for cable voltage drop.

The WS-12-250-DC will accept 9-60V and compensate for cable voltage drop and still power 24V and 48V devices..

Or you can use (2) WS-6-MINI to get (2) 24VH or 48VH ports. (less expensive solution)

You could power the (2) WS-6-MINI with a WS-10-250-AC as it has (2) 48VH power port to power the (2) WS-6-MINI

Or you could use a WS-12-250-AC or WS-12-400-AC as they have (4) VH ports.

Not sure why you need 24VH anymore as all the new airFIBER X radios will use 48VH

He said he needs it for the MetroLinq.

:headb: My bad, didn't catch that
