Foscam PoE Splitter...

We installed a remote IP56 weatherproof box, and stuck in a WISP-6 switch (36 switches and counting!). But forgot to run mains power.
We then tried to slap in a DRAYTEK 130 VDSL/ADSL modem, which of course wanted a 12v 1A bullet connector.
After some digging around, we found the FOSCAM PoE Splitter:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Foscam-Splitter ... 1_1&sr=8-1
And bugger me - it works! We're powering the ADSL modem off a 48H port (port 2 on the WISP-6) and completed a 24h burn period. The ADSL modem pulls a max of 10w at power up, so we're well chuffed. ('Very happy').
Not something I'd necessarily recommend but for a $15 buck device, handy to have in your toolbox for those very strange occasions where life bites you in the ass.
Hope this helps,
