Hi Young,
It was nice talking to you on the phone the other day. I spoke with our Engineer and we have asked our software engineer to order (2) of these modules to test with out switches.
I am 99.9% sure they will work as I said as they are Cisco compatible.
If by chance they do not work with the current firmware Eric will see what he can do.
As I said working with Marcus from Verizon a software feature he requested is in the v1.4.0rcX firmware so when you get your test units I would recommend installing v1.4.0rcX first before you start playing.
Also as I indicated Marcus had suggested that you guys might need "more" 48VH ports for your application with micro-cells so the next production batch of WS-12-400-AC units will have a version that offers (6) 48VH ports.
Marcus and I think a normal 48V port @.75A will probably be enough to power a micro-cell as 48V @.75A is rated for a 55C environment and if the switch is in a cool location can deliver 1A, keep in mind that the .75A rating is based on a Polyfuse which is sized to trip at .75A in 55C so if the switch is located in an environmentally controlled space it will not trip at .75A, probably more like 1A.
However driving 1A on a single pair is pushing the limits of the Ethernet transformers and I do not know what the rating of the transformers are in the micro-cell but ours are rated at 1A per pair.
But as I said a 48VH port uses all 4 pair to deliver 1.5A @ 55C so probably more like 2A at room temp.
And as I stated newer later versions of the WS-12-400-AC in the works will offer (6) 48VH ports.
You have my cell if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Chris

Any idea on when these might be available? I have a few places I could use them as well.
