Powering a UniFI In Wall

Fri Jan 22, 2016 12:24 am

Anyone powered one of these yet with a Netonix? Sounds like mixed reviews on ubnt with a toughswitch and they require 802.3af...

No mixed reviews, just some bad info. It will NOT power from passive "Mode B".

You might get one to light up on a 48VH port but I would not try it. The UAP-IW leverages the features of 802.3af to cut power to the port if an incompatible device is plugged into it.
