This thread is for people to list radios that work with Netonix POE switches, and any modifications that were required.

This way people might not have to experiment on expensive radios that someone else already tested like Saf, Dragon Wave, Ligowave, Trango Apex?

Regular Canopy AP100 and 450AP, most sm's , and Trango 5010 work well with POE crossovers by Tycon, on 24V Standard (NOT 24VH)

Mimosa B5 and B5C works on 48VH or 48V Standard on shorter cables

Mimosa B5 Lites work on 48V Standard.

AirFiber 24 and AirFiber 5 works on 48VH

Dragonwave Compact worked standard 48VH (straight Cable)

SAF Lumina worked standard 48VH (straight Cable)

airFIBER 2X, airFIBER 3X, and airFIBER 5X work with 24V standard up to about 160 feet of cable and 24VH for runs up to 326 feet of cable.
DO NOT USE 24VH ON ANY AIRMAX RADIOS OR YOU WILL FRY THE RADIO AND THE PORT.
NOTE: According to UBNT new models of AFX radios will also support 48V and 48VH, see UBNT forum for more info or search this forum for other users post on their findings.

cbl wrote: Here's the URL on UBNT's wiki that details which MACs do/dont support the 48V power on 5X. Note that 2X and 3X all support it.

Canopy 430Ap 5790APUS works fine with Pin 4 crossed to Pin 8 "on far side of cable only".

Ligowave branded (SAF Freemile?) worked fine on 48v

Please post utter failure that resulted in damage to the radio and or switch port as well which may save someone else.

Please do not hijack this thread and do not re-post radios already posted.

Keep the thread short and to the point so people do not have to wade through nonsense posts.

airFIBER X radios use 24VH - THey are the only radios that use 24VH. THey will also work on 24V less than 200' of cable.

MT Routerboards with POEin use 24V
E.g. the RB850Gx2 is a good/small addition to add Routing functionality to a switched site.

Mikrotik CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+ is running great on 48V

It supports 14v to 57v input on the poe port however it draws as much as 35 watts which is way too much for 24V (1.5amps)

Running at 48v puts us back at .75amps which is good to go for the Netonix ports ;)
