Is it possible to have power on a port but not data?
I have to setup a parallel link on a bridged network and need to do alignment etc. but don't want to pass data until the link is ready so I need power but not data.
Suggestions?

You can enable POE on a port and select disable the ethernet at the same time at PORTS tab of the switch.

Re: Power without Data?
ISTR there was a bug whereby disabling the port would turn off the PoE. I don't know if that is fixed in the latest or slated for the next release.
Someone suggested putting the port into a VLAN all by itself.

Yeap i ve read that on a topic but i checked my Switch WS-12-250-AC (V1.3.3) and it worked maybe it was DC the one that had F/W issues on this.
But in any case yes VLAN is also an option.
