Hello,
I wanted to ask you the following, if I setup a watchdog on my netonix will this do port bounce to restore one of my devices if that device goes offline? or what are the specifications of the watchdog in netonix? also I wanted to know if there is a Tech support number? or Can I have somebody to contact me?
Thank you for your time

Re: Netonix Watchdog
I set up a watchdog on my netonix will this do port bounce to restore one of my devices if that device goes offline?
Yea, if you are running the latest version of firmware as there have been fixes to ping watchdog.
It is really pretty simple:
You select the port
You enable it or disable the Ping watchdog rule by checking the enable box
You give it a description
You give it an IP to ping
Startup interval (in seconds) - how many seconds it waits to start
Interval (in seconds) - between pings
Failures (count) - consecutive fails in a row to trigger
Unpower (in seconds)
Notify - if you have the smtp properly set up on the Device/Configuration Tab it will email you an alert when triggered
I wanted to know if there is a Tech support number? or Can I have somebody to contact me?
Yea, our tech support number is the same as Ubiquiti's Tech Support number but change the last digit to 2......
We expect most issues to be solved here on the forums.
However in EMERGENCIES I do allow people to call my cell but if you would call my cell asking about the above I would be upset.

Re: Netonix Watchdog
To setup SMTP is like you setup outlook to access an email account!
Go to Tab Device -> Configuration -> SMTP and fill the appropriate values from your SMTP mail server or SMTP mail provider

Mike answered you on this

LOL - I have Robert's cell number, but he would kill me if I posted that!
No, UBNT does not have a Tech Support number, it was a joke!
UBNT = 300+ Employees and is valued at 2.7 BILLION DOLLARS and they do not have a tech support line
Netonix = 3 Employees and is Valued at maybe 3 MILLION Dollars and we do not have a tech support line
In "Emergencies" I will let people call my cell but first line of support is here on the forums.

Re: Netonix Watchdog
There is a bug in v1.3.0 that when it powers of a port if only does so for a short duration.
It can affect the outcome that the unit may or may not power cycle properly since power is not cut for 5 seconds.
This bug also affects port bounces and scheduled port bounces as it only turns the power off for 1 second or less.
HOWEVER with that said I did just run a test Watchdog here in the warehouse where I had it reboot an airVISION camera and it did reboot it as expected.
DO NOT rapid fire port bounce devices as the continued IN-RUSH could damage equipment.

You are loosing customers??
Is this happening because of a Netonix switch or something else?
Can you please describe your network topology and what devices are attached on the Netonix.
I would consider to hire an IT professional to manage the technical aspects of your business.
