I looked at the iperf tool and I understand it isn't finished, but can we please, please use iperf3 instead?
https://github.com/esnet/iperf
One nice feature is that it supports reverse send mode so you don't have to open ports on the client to test both up and down bandwidth.
Also, using UDP for tests can give some nice latency information, but that would require additional UI.
iperf3 instead of iperf2

Re: iperf3 instead of iperf2
Iperf2 support UDP with jitter information. Iperf 2 and 3 are not compatible and most device like ubnt still include iperf2. The Best option would be to have both if the're enough flash memory on netonix switch.

Re: iperf3 instead of iperf2
Right now we just want to make sure we have a very stable firmware with all existing features verified and make sure everyone is happy.
THEN
We will finish a couple items in the firmware
IPERF
UBNT Discovery
Maybe go back and address mirror to IP
Then we will look at adding new features again such as:
QOS
Power graphs
Maybe extend graphs to 24 hours
MSTP

Support is handled on the Forums not in Emails and PMs.

Re: iperf3 instead of iperf2
EdgeRouters utilize IPerf3. I think AirOS uses Iperf2, but that could change, who knows.

True but you can easily install iperf2 on edgeos while it's not the case with airos.
